In-Canada applicants for permanent residence who have received approval of their permanent residence applications now, in most cases, do not have to appear in person before an IRCC officer for a “landing” procedure.
The new portal rolled out by IRCC will make the process electronic. You may not register at the portal by yourself, but you need to wait for an invitation and a link to the portal from IRCC.
You will be able to use the link to register your profile at the portal, update and submit your information, including your photograph and your postal address. Each family member will have their own profile.
The new measure was developed as part of the Government’s strategy to mitigate the effect of COVID-19 on immigration.
