Permanent Residence Pathway for French Speaking Foreign Nationals with a Recent Credential from a Canadian Post-Secondary Institution or Recent Canadian Work Experience in an Essential Occupation

From May 6, 2021 to November 5, 2021, the Government of Canada will be accepting applications for permanent residence in Canada from foreign nationals in Canada who have a recent credential from a Canadian post-secondary institution or who have recent Canadian work experience in essential occupations.

There will be no intake cap! It means your application will be accepted as long as you meet the eligibility requirements. There are enough spots for everybody.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR FRENCH-SPEAKING FOREIGN NATIONALS IN CANADA, OUTSIDE OF QUEBEC, WITH A RECENT CREDENTIAL FROM A CANADIAN POST-SECONDARY INSTITUTION

  • Have completed a program of study from a post-secondary education institution in Canada after January 2017
  • Have been granted a degree, diploma, certificate, or attestation from said institutions (conditions apply, contact us for more details)
  • Be employed in Canada with a valid permit (self-employment does not count)
  • Have French language proficiency of CLB 5 in all competencies
  • Reside in Canada on a valid temporary resident status
  • Not be inadmissible (it means refugee claimants can’t apply).

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR FRENCH-SPEAKING FOREIGN NATIONALS IN CANADA, OUTSIDE OF QUEBEC, WITH RECENT CANADIAN WORK EXPERIENCE IN ESSENTIAL OCCUPATIONS

  • Have accumulated at least one year of full-time work experience or equivalent in part-time (1,560 hours) in an eligible occupation (the list of occupations is available on the Canadian immigration website, or you may contact us to see if you are included) in the three years preceding the date of the application
  • Be employed in Canada at the time the application for permanent residence is received (self-employment does not count)
  • Have a CLB 4 level of English or French language proficiency
  • Reside in Canada on a valid temporary resident status
  • Be not inadmissible (it means refugee claimants can’t apply).
